New R&D Center “Material Nexus Lab” to Open at Tokyo Factory in 2028
RRiken Vitamin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Tsutomu Mochizuki) will establish a new R&D center, "Material Nexus Lab" (tentative name), at its Tokyo Factory (Itabashi-ku, Tokyo) to strengthen R&D capabilities in its Chemical Business. The facility is scheduled for completion in March 2028 and will begin operations in April 2028.
The Company's Chemical-improving agents are used in a wide range of applications, including plastics, rubber, cosmetics, agricultural films, and food packaging materials, helping improve product functionality and processability. In response to growing market demand, the Company is also actively developing environmentally friendly products and has built a proven track record in biomass-related products.
The new center will consolidate R&D functions currently located at the Osaka Factory and Kenseido Co., Ltd.* By fostering closer collaboration among researchers and engineers, the Company aims to further strengthen its R&D capabilities and establish a research foundation that supports the realization of its Medium- to Long-Term Vision.
The name "Material Nexus Lab" reflects the Company's aspiration to create new value by connecting materials technologies, expertise, people, and data. The facility will serve as a hub for developing high-performance materials and creating new product value while helping address social and environmental challenges.
